This activity centre welcomes school trips, youth groups, and societies of all sizes for unforgettable outdoor adventures.

Here at the IWM (Imperial War Museum) Duxford, students can climb aboard historic aircrafts as well as visit the very rooms where Duxford’s Battle of Britain took place. This really is an historical School Trip like no other focusing on World War 2 and more.

The National Holocaust Centre and Museum provide an outreach service Nationwide bringing expertise and creativity to provide access to museum collections and testimony of Holocaust survivors. Programmes are fully accessible and SEN inclusive to students.

With the primary role to operate both as a residential and day activity centre, Anderton Centre in Lancashire focuses on working with school groups of all ages. Offering water-and land-based activities on the stunning shores of Rivington reservoir, Anderton Centre also offers both catered and non-catered accommodation for residential school trips. Located on the scenic border of Dorset and Somerset, the Magdalen Farm Environmental Centre offers immersive, hands-on day trips across its 132 acres of organic farmland and diverse nature reserves. These visits allow students and groups to engage directly with sustainable agriculture through activities like feeding farm animals, harvesting organic vegetables, and learning about the journey of food from soil to plate. The centre provides a wide array of curriculum-linked programs, ranging from "Survival in the Wild" bushcraft sessions to scientific "river dipping" studies where participants can wade into the shallow River Axe to examine local biodiversity. Sustainability is woven into every experience, often culminating in eco-cooking sessions using outdoor cob ovens and fresh ingredients gathered directly from the sprawling kitchen gardens. Furthermore, Magdalen Farm is widely recognized for its inclusive environment, offering SEN-friendly facilities and specialized staff to ensure that learners of all abilities can safely explore and connect with the natural world.

The 1620s House and Garden offers immersive educational experiences that takes students of all school ages back to early 17th century England. Interactive tours, costumed interpreters, workshops and curriculum enrichment activities provide school groups with exciting and interesting school trips.  This beautiful medieval house is presented as a fully furnished Jacobean home from the early 17th century.

Selly Manor Museum in Birmingham offers a wide range of educational packages for school kids. Every year, more than 6000 students visit Selly Manor.  Most of them visit to study the Tudors, but some visit to look at the old houses, furniture, and other aspects of history. We Cover Topics such as; the Great Fire of London, which is most suitable for KS1, The Tudors which is most suitable for KS1 & KS2 and Bournville and George Cadbury which is most suitable for KS1, KS2 & KS3.

At the Manchester United Museum & Tour Centre, educational groups can enjoy interactive workshops, a tour of Old Trafford, as well as time for individual learning. The Museum and Tour is designed to support the new National Curriculum.

At the Prison & Police Museum Ripon discover the history of crime & punishment in the Victorian prison, learn the history of policing in Yorkshire from the Anglo-Saxons to the formation of professional policing, perfect historical interactive experience. The learning programme can accommodate groups from Key Stage 1 through to university level.

Henley Fort is a Victorian Fort built during the late 19th Century to protect London from invasion by the French; later it was used by the Home Guard in World War 2 as a re-supply depot. It is now an outdoor education facility offering groups a chance to take part in challenging activities or a living historical experience. We are open seven days a week, all year round for both day and residential visits, perfect for all school ages. (Group sizes up to 100)

English Heritage should be applauded for their development of the Discovery Visit, which interprets the story of a site, giving a sense of time and place to visiting schools. These experiences support the National Curriculum across a wide range of subjects and all key stages.

Visiting UK Parliament is a great opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of democracy, governance and the political system. Visits include a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster and a curricula-informed workshop in the award-winning Education Centre. The tours and workshop programmes are suitable for students aged 7 to 18 and they are linked to the National Curriculum. You can register on the booking portal to book your school visit.

The Jarman Centre is perfect for outdoor residential trips. Set in 18 acres of private woodland just outside Newmarket, the Jarman Centre is a nature haven, with a variety of wonderful activities for a brilliant outdoor adventure stay!
