What we offer on a school trip
We offer a wide range of activities which can be incorporated into your bespoke programme. We place a great deal of importance on the skills developed during these activities, reflecting on what has been learnt at the end of each session.
A sample of our activities include: various HIGH ROPES challenges – Traverse Challenge, Crate Stack, Leap of Faith, Jacobs Ladder; ARCHERY; NIGHTLINE; ORIENTEERING; SCAVENGER HUNT; PIONEERING; BUSHCRAFT; SHELTER BUILDING; RAFT BUIULDING; and SWIMMING.
Do you have what it takes to make the leap-of-faith? Can you climb to the top of Jacob’s ladder? Can your team navigate the obstacle course, cargo net and tunnels to complete the challenge course? Stretch your limits and explore the great outdoors during a day visit at Woodrow High House. Our fully qualified instructor team can work with groups of all ages and abilities.

What is typically included on our school trips
Each educational visit is a unique experience. We adapt our programmes and vary the style of delivery to ensure that we meet the needs of your group. We host a large variety of groups from different settings, each with differing educational outcomes. In recent years groups have visited us to primarily focus on ecology – these groups carried out activities such as: pond dipping; a woodland walk and a mini-beast hunt. We have had groups visiting us with the aim of improving employability skills and have delivered activities that involved teamwork and communication. We also have several groups who visit us for revision weekends, combining classroom-based learning with outdoor activity fun.
Your day trip will include 3 or 4 activities of your choice, depending on arrival and departure times.
Group Sizes
For day visits to Woodrow High House, we require a minimum group number of 15 participating young people, plus leaders on a 1:12 ratio to supervise (1:15 is also acceptable).
