What are your school workshops like?
Our workshops are carefully crafted to support schools in achieving key educational outcomes, such as:
- On-Site Team-Building Days: Delivered at your school to develop communication, problem-solving, and resilience in students.
Our wide range of activities ensure that our days are interactive, inclusive, and adaptable for all age groups.
- Student Leadership Workshops: Tailored sessions for student councils, prefects, or peer mentors to build skills like decision-making, collaboration, and problem-solving. We collaborate with schools to ensure workshops align with their unique objectives.
- Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expeditions: As an AALA-approved provider, we support schools and organisations with walking expeditions at Bronze, Silver, and Gold. From planning to delivery, we handle every detail, ensuring students enjoy a safe and rewarding experience.
Throughout our planning process, we work with the school to make sure that we fully understand both the aims of the school, and the needs of the students to deliver a provision that makes an impact, and represents value for money.
All workshops are linked to personal development goals and the broader school ethos, and can be an excellent way to augment in-house PSHE provision, creating opportunities for students to flourish inside and outside the classroom.

What makes us a great choice for educational groups?
Schools, colleges, and youth organisations trust Pioneer Leadership because we deliver:
- Tangible Outcomes: Students leave with improved confidence, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in teams.
- Convenience: We bring all equipment, resources, and experienced instructors directly to you. Teachers and School Leaders can focus on seeing their students work in a fresh and challenging context, whilst we handle the delivery and logistics.
- Personalised Programs: Our initial planning meeting allows us to ensure that every session is tailored to meet the specific needs of your students and school – making sure that our costs reflect only what you need.
- Proven Expertise: Our team includes former educators, military leaders, and outdoor specialists, ensuring a unique blend of knowledge and skills, and we are proud of the number of schools that continue to partner with us year after year.
● Clear Communication: From initial enquiry, right through to the delivery of our Post Activity Report – we will ensure that you have all of the information needed for your approval processes in good time.
Awards, accreditations
We hold an AALA license, ensuring the highest standards of safety during outdoor activities. Activities that do not fall inside the scope of this license are still treated with the same level of planning and risk management. Our robust safety protocols and expertise make us a reliable partner for schools.
CRB/DBS checked teams
All team members are Enhanced DBS-checked, giving schools peace of mind that their students are in safe hands.
Our Safeguarding Policy and Procedures ensure that any concern identified by, or disclosed to our team, is communicated professionally in a timely and confidential manner.
Group sizes
We cater to groups of all sizes:
- Our team-building can be tailored for groups as small as 8 students, right through to multi cohort groups exceeding 500 students.
- Our Leadership Workshops are a great way to engage with Student Councils and Student Leadership Teams, where these are typically around 30 – 50 students per session.
- For our DofE Expedition Programme, we partner with a range of schools, where some may have 12 students, right through to schools with several hundred participants – and have a range of options to support schools at all levels.
Materials, resources provided
Our activities are designed to complement the national curriculum and are underpinned by educational research into character development.
During the planning process, we will meet with you to get a full understanding of how we can support you and your students, and to see the physical space we will have for the workshop so that we are able to plan accordingly.
We will bring all resources, workbooks and worksheets that we may use throughout the training, and certificates and post activity reports will be supplied based on what is agreed during our planning meeting.
Photography, filming & audio restrictions
Photography and filming is allowed upon agreement during the planning process, provided they respect student privacy and permission from the host school or organisation, and do not infringe on copyright for proprietary workshop materials.

Testimonials
Here’s what some of our partner schools have said:
“A professional service throughout. The discussions that took place before the event, allowed for the activities to be tailored to our needs effectively. Organisation and set up of the events was excellent and the staff were all engaging and knowledgeable. Our pupils not only had lots of fun in the physical activities but were able to think deeply in the theory based activities due to the experience of the staff. This will feed directly into their PSHE studies in school and as such was an invaluable experience – thank you!” –
School PSHE Lead, Wolverhampton
