What makes you a great group accommodation choice for a school trip or educational visit
Some of the most important things a student learns at school happen away from the classroom.
Your students will take part in activities led by qualified instructors, from sailing and power kites to crabbing and land-based challenges. It’s hands-on from the moment you arrive.
85% of schools return. We know that teachers value Essex Outdoors as students leave more confident and more willing to have a go. You’ll leave with a clear sense of what the visit has achieved.

Field studies
Bradwell’s estuary and marshland setting brings wildlife study to life. Students go crabbing, explore through bushcraft and take boat trips out onto the Blackwater, observing birdlife and coastal habitats firsthand. Let them experience the curriculum for themselves in a nature-rich coastal environment.
Revision breaks
Bradwell pairs outdoor challenge with on-site classroom space, an established offer schools already build into their term calendar for study breaks. Students get a genuine physical reset through off road biking, archery or high ropes and then bring that energy back indoors for structured learning. Recharge and refocus without losing that valuable teaching time.
Team building
We deliver team building through real physical challenge. Groups tackle problem-solving activities, high ropes and raft building led by qualified instructors, encouraging genuine communication and shared decision-making under the right amount of pressure. This works for student groups as well as staff away days.
