Heritage Railways
A heritage railway school trip is a visit to a railway which is operated as a living piece of history and will re-create and preserve railway scenes of the past. Often heritage railways are old railway lines preserved in a state which depicts a certain period, or periods, in the history of railway systems. The heritage railways we work with have a rich and varied past life and offer exciting educational programmes linking to the national curriculum to support learning about history, STEM, art, design and English, including learning about the Victorians and WW2, Great for primary school children, key sage one and key stage two.
