At The Workhouse Museum Ripon North Yorkshire, educational groups can experience an authentic Victorian Schoolroom, Kitchen, and Garden, as well as the historical Inmates' Quarters of the Workhouse. Our learning programme can accommodate groups from Key Stage 1 through to University Level, exploring the themes of poverty, crime, and punishment.

Bendrigg Trust is a Specialist Outdoor Education Centre for SEN based in Kendal, Cumbria which focuses on providing adventure activities for students and pupils of all abilities, including those with profound physical disabilities and special educational needs. All trips are designed to fit in with the national history KS1 and 2 curriculum. Within a Grade 2* listed historic building, the museum depicts the different aspects of Tudor life from plague to punishment. Each school is unique and the guides tailor their performance to each school. There are workshops on the Army, Elizabethan Theatre, Shakespeare Tours of the Town (Anne or William Shakespeare themed guide), and the favourite of the children – Crime and Punishment.
