We’re not your typical school trip provider. Many schools come to us after previous residentials using big trip providers, which can often feel impersonal, rushed and crowded.

At Rootd, things are very different.

Our unique pod and bell tent accommodation gives you an outdoor experience that feels adventurous yet manageable.

Our highly trained, experienced instructors get to know every child, making them feel included and inspired to push themselves out of their comfort zone.

From nature-based experiences to team challenges and adrenaline-fuelled activities, our carefully designed, age-appropriate programmes make sure there’s an activity to suit every student – so everyone has a chance to shine.

We want every child to leave a Rootd residential feeling inspired, full of self-belief and with some amazing stories to tell!

And located just five minutes from the M25, we’re within easy reach, which can mean shorter travel times, lower coach costs and fuller days, so you can make the most of your time on camp.

At Rootd, the adventure starts with the accommodation!

Our unique pod and bell tent accommodation adds a real sense of adventure to your residential, without compromising on safety or comfort.

Children experience the best of both worlds – the excitement of sleeping close to nature, combined with the reassurance of nearby facilities, such as night-time toilets and motion sensor lighting.

With chill-out areas and campfires in our pod and bell tent villages, children enjoy downtime together, building closer bonds and creating a strong sense of community.

Developing students’ life skills and building their confidence and resilience as they explore the outdoors is the aim of our trips.

Our activities are designed to inspire every child to get involved and encourage independent thinking, creativity and teamwork. Whether this is building a shelter together or guiding each other on the high ropes, students learn resilience and the importance of working together through fun and exciting activities.

Woodland Pod Village

• Pupil pods sleep eight on bunk beds

• Night toilets and motion sensor lighting
• Teacher tipi with fire pit and refreshments

We offer you the opportunity to visit our camp before booking.

We provide schools with all the information needed to successfully launch your trip to parents, including a parent guide, and we also offer to visit schools to present to parents.

Prices start from £79.00

This includes accommodation, meals, activities (including an evening programme) and one free teacher place for every 10 students.

Every team member holds a Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid.

We have qualified first aiders on site at all times.

Indoor dining, shower/toilet facilities, chill-out areas, games areas, teacher tipis, night toilets, motion sensor lighting.

The site is not open to the public and it’s fully enclosed with barrier-controlled entrances. All key areas and access routes are covered by CCTV.

Your school will have exclusive use of your pod or tent village while you’re on camp. You will have your own allocated times for dining, your own programme of activities and your own designated times for use of the shower blocks.

Our residentials are fully catered, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening hot chocolate/biscuits.

We strive to be as inclusive as possible, and although woodland based with natural limitations, the centre has disabled facilities.
