What we offer on a school trip at our adventure activity centre
A day at Bell Heath or Malvern gets a class outdoors and into a full programme of activity in a matter of hours, no residential stay required. Both centres sit in their own private woodland in Worcestershire, one near Belbroughton, the other beneath the Malvern Hills, so pupils are properly out of the classroom rather than just outside it.
On the day, pupils take on low and high ropes, climbing, archery, zip wire, bushcraft, orienteering and raft building, and bring it together in team problem-solving challenges. Subject-specific curriculum days, including Victorian Water Cure, Iron Age Battles, Rocks and Fossils and STEM, turn a classroom topic into something pupils physically do outdoors.
What makes us a great choice for educational groups
It’s the moment a nervous pupil makes it across the high ropes, or the cheer when the last raft holds together. Boundless creates those moments, and the day is built around your group from the start: one point of contact from enquiry to departure, and instructors who adjust pace and challenge on the day, so every pupil gets to succeed at something.
Both sites hold the LOtC Quality Badge, AALS licensing, Adventure Mark and AHOEC Gold accreditation, and both have step-free access in key areas, so there’s something concrete to point to when you’re asked how you know the day will be safe and well run.

What is typically included on our school trips
Curriculum days for Key Stage 2 include Victorian Water Cure, Iron Age Battles, Rocks and Fossils, and STEM. We also offer day visits focused on mental health and wellbeing outdoors.
Every day trip can be tailored to a school’s own learning outcomes and combined with the standard activity programme (ropes, climbing, archery, bushcraft, orienteering and raft building) on request. We also run dedicated History/Geography curriculum days and Year 7 transition team-building sessions, both designed to be booked as a standalone day visit.

Testimonials
“The catering support here is a great example of Boundless flexibility. The chef sent menus to us in advance so parents can pre-order meals, which is incredibly reassuring for our families. Knowing the food is all prepared beforehand helps everyone feel confident that our young people are safe and well looked after.”
- Cynthia May, Sellyoak Trust School
“A fab day. Lots of things to do and everyone got lots of goes on the activities. The instructors are really friendly and helpful.”
- Ellie Capel
“I was quite nervous, but I still did it. You were so funny and Kind I rate everything we did 10/10 – thank you.”
- School pupil
Further Details
Both centres also run residential trips for schools, alongside dry hire and group bookings outside of term time, which some EVCs and bursars find useful to know when comparing venues that only offer day visits.
