What does your museum offer for school trips
Brooklands Museum Day Trips Surrey provides unforgettable learning experiences outside the classroom for Early Years to Post-16.
Brooklands Museum, Surrey’s most famous heritage site and home to an incredible collection of cars and aircraft, brings to life the record-breaking achievements that happened on the world’s first racetrack, aircraft factories and airfield.
Step back in time to the days of innovation, determination and record breaking on the 32-acre site. Discover supersonic flight at the Home of Concorde and get up close to the aircraft designed, built and flown at Brookland’s.
Regarded as a national treasure, Brooklands’ astonishing accomplishments and innovation changed the world of British motorsport and aviation. The inventions designed and built at Brooklands have left a legacy which can all be explored by your pupils on the actual site where it all happened for an award-winning day out.
The London Bus Museum is also located within Brooklands Museum, and schools are able to view the large range of vintage and modern buses housed within during their visit.
What makes you a great choice for educational visits
Brooklands was a magnet for pioneers, scientists and engineers as they solved some of the greatest challenges of the 20th century, from breaking land speed records to pushing the boundaries of flight.
Students can trace the sweeping changes in 20th century technology and engineering through our Motoring Village, Aircraft Park, Aircraft Factory and historic racetrack. They’ll learn how these technologies affect how we live our lives today.
Brooklands Museum supports learning outside the classroom through a range of action-packed workshops, guided tours, activity days and resources that will inspire and engage pupils from Reception through to College and University. We welcome Home Educators throughout term time and offer occasional dedicated Home Educator days.
Our award-winning school visits are adapted to meet the study topics, interest, and needs of all pupils who visit us. Each school will have dedicated workshop facilitators and tour guides to give you a tailored visit which allows all of your pupils to get the most out of their visit to Brooklands Museum.
