Located in Southampton, Hampshire at our 95-acre site, we offer children the chance to step out of their comfort zone, work as a team, and most importantly, have fun! Our 20+ activities are led by our experienced instructors, allowing your pupils to safely participate in activities such as climbing, paddle boarding, archery, low ropes, and so much more.

From day 1, our dedicated groups team will work closely with you to develop a bespoke package, tailored to your school’s needs and curriculum. Fairthorne Manor’s location offers a truly unique experience for all schools that visit.

What is typically included on your school trips relating to Key Stage


We deliver a wide range of activities at our 95-acre site. We host water sports such as kayaking and raft building on our lake, and have access to the wonderful River Hamble. On land, students can take part in many activities, such as crate challenge, den-building, axe-throwing, and aerial runway. We can create bespoke packages tailored to your curriculum, needs, and budget.
Group sizes


Our group sizes are dependent on staffing and activities. We can accommodate large groups with extended notice.
Speak to a number of our team and we will do our best to ensure your group, no matter the size, can visit Fairthorne Manor! An activity group of 12, must be accompanied by 1 adult.
Photography, filming & audio restrictions


Groups are welcome to take their photos during their visit, and share their amazing experiences, tagging @YMCAFairthorneManor on social media!
We may occasionally take photos for our own promotional use, but this will be discussed prior, and all relevant forms will be completed by parents and staff.
Risk assessment


Risk assessments can be provided on request, and staff are welcome to come on a tour of our site before their visit.
Pricing


Our pricing varies depending on package, activities, and length of stay. Our activity groups are based on 12 young people per group, and an adult must accompany each group (1 adult/12 students).
Contact a member of our team and we will be happy to provide you with a price. We are also happy to welcome you for a guided tour of our site.
Clothing requirements


For day trips, we ask that children wear sturdy shoes and clothing they do not mind getting dirty! Come rain or shine, we will be outside, so check the weather and pack rain coats, hats, and sun cream accordingly.

Children will always be with a first-aid trained member of staff when completing any of our activities.

We take pride in offering activities to those of any ability We are accessible and inclusive, as we have off-road wheelchairs and specialist equipment available. Please enquire about this when booking. Our activity centre covers all terrains, so we recommend a tour if you have any concerns.
