What makes us a great choice for educational groups
Our Schools program has been designed to complement Pre-School, Reception and Key Stage 1 & 2 subjects from the classroom a curriculum map can be found on the education pages on our website. Our School visits focus on providing your class with a fun, interactive and engaging learning experience.
Godstone Farm‘s structured farm school visits offer excellent value for money. They include entrance to the farm for the whole day, up to 4 activities in the morning led by our experienced Education team. In the afternoon you can choose to either further explore the farm or to make use of our play areas.
Our huge outdoor play area providing a challenge for all ages. Sandpits, climbing frames, swings and slides, all with a twist, provide daring and fun activities for adventurous students.
We offer one free adult per 5 children and provide an area for lunch and plenty of parking for coaches and minibuses.
For SEND visits we offer an Animal feeding session (choose either pig feeding or duck feeding) and a Farmer led private Animal Interaction session.
We also offer a Non structures Nursery Visit which includes:
Picnic barn for lunch
Self-guided visit
One free adult per child
Free parking and ample coach parking
A Farmer led Animal interaction session in the afternoon- you will given a timed slot for this on your arrival.

Group Sizes
There is a minimum booking number of 20 children but we do offer a small education group package for smaller classes. This includes access to the farm and top play area and a Farmer led Animal Interaction session in the afternoon.
Materials, Resources & Key Stage Info
All the materials necessary to complete sessions are provided by the education team. There are also a range of resources that have been developed to support your visit and these are available to download and print from the resources page of our website. These include activity booklets, colouring pages and a social story to support your farm visit.
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
There are no copywrite restrictions in place.
Risk Assessment
A copy of our up to date risk assessment can be downloaded from under the information heading on our website.
We also offer risk assessment pre visits (bookable through our website) for teachers to complete their own risk assessments. During these you can also request to meet with a member of the education team.

Trips are charged at £11.00 (off peak) or £13.00 (peak) per child
School trips get 1 free adult per 5 children
Additional adults are charged at £10.50 (off peak) or £12.00 (peak)
Nurseries are charged at £10.50 (off peak) or £12.00 (peak)
Off Peak periods run September – February
Peak periods are March – July
Clothing Requirements
Please dress appropriately for spending time outdoors- covered footwear, light layers and suncream/ waterproofs where appropriate

There are trained first aiders available on site but the expectation is that schools are responsible for their own first aid.

Most areas of the farm are wheelchair accessible but due to the green belt location within the Surrey Hills the land does rise and fall and at times paths can become uneven. We have an accessible toilet in the lower part of the farm and a Changing Places toilet located in our Playbarn. https://www.changing-places.org/find
Opening Times
Schools are asked to arrive from 10 am. The farm closes at 4.45pm
