Xplore! provides over 40 hands-on STEM workshops and shows tailored to the UK curriculum, covering subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, computing, engineering, and mathematics. Activities range from exploring aquaponics and building bridges to programming Crumblebots and investigating the human body .
Interactive Exhibits:
The centre boasts more than 85 interactive STEAM exhibits, including a human-sized hamster wheel, a stop-motion animation table, and an Archimedes spiral, all designed to develop and foster scientific curiosity in young people .
Flexible Delivery Options:
Xplore! offers both in-centre visits and outreach programs, bringing science directly to schools across North Wales and North-West England. Outreach activities are designed to be inclusive and adaptable, catering to various learning needs and abilities .
Language Accessibility:
All activities can be delivered in English, Welsh, or bilingually, ensuring accessibility for a diverse range of students .
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support:
Xplore! is committed to inclusivity, offering a range of activities for SEN schools. Staff are SEN trained, and sessions can be adjusted to meet the specific needs of learners .
Additional Facilities:
During visits, schools have access to dedicated lunch areas and a science shop stocked with educational items. Teacher pre-visits can also be arranged free of charge to assist with planning .

Science Shop, Café, changing places toilet, Lunch area for those who bring their own lunch. Students are encouraged to bring some pocket money £3 is enough for a lot of products in our shop.

Xplore! Science Discovery Centre is committed to accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring compliance with the UK’s Equality Act 2010, which superseded the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). The centre offers a range of accessible features to accommodate visitors with diverse needs. We are fully wheelchair accessible with our venue being on one floor only. Fully accessible toilets including a changing places toilet.
