What our residential centre offer for school trips
The Wilderness Centre offers hostel style accommodation in Georgian manor house and also a tent village accommodation within walled garden
The Wilderness Centre is a beautiful location in the Forest of Dean. There are 25 acres of wildflower meadows and 5 acres of ancient woodland. The views across the River Severn are stunning.
We offer activity programmes suitable for Year 4 and above.
We have on-site activities that include high ropes, low ropes, archery, air rifles, tunnel trail, bushcraft, wildlife discovery and teambuilding.
Off-site activities are canoeing on the River Wye and mountain biking in the Forest of Dean.
What makes us a great choice for educational groups
Current customers say the Wilderness Centre is a calm and relaxing experience for students and staff. As well as the site having natural beauty, it’s secluded and private.
On-site activities are no more than a 2-minute walk from the accommodation. Groups, whether in the house or the tent village, do not share accommodation with anyone else, which leads to a ‘home-from-home’ feeling.
