Mendip Residential Activity Centre delivers high quality outdoor activity school residentials to primary schools, secondary schools and higher education groups.
Choose from our canvas-style accommodation, Mendip Basecamp, our indoor bunk-room style accommodation, Mendip Lodge, or our pop-up tented village.
Mendip Activity Centre is situated a short drive from Bristol and Cheddar, on the edge of the Mendip Hills AONB. Our 5-day school residentials are legendary, focused on the core values of outdoor, adventure and growth.
We’ll provide an action-packed week of activities, a full nutritious catering provision and the perfect accommodation set-up for your group. Activities are designed to excite students and teachers alike and might include team challenges, kayaking, paddleboarding, low ropes, assault course, target sports, bushcraft, rock climbing. Evening activities such as night walks, team games, camp fires and orienteering are an essential way to end the day.

First Aid
All instructors are first aid trained and all staff have a full DBS.
Available Facilities
Indoor Accommodation: you’ll have exclusive access to the Lodge during your stay with lounge areas, a canteen and outdoor space. Every room is fully ensuite with recently refurbished bunk-bed rooms. There is one fully-accessible room.
Mendip Basecamp: our canvas style accommodation is like camping but with smart, group-sized tents and clean and modern hot showers and flushing toilets. You’ll have access to a private social marquee with a teacher lounge and a shared canteen with private meal times for your groups.
Wifi is available. There is plenty of outdoor space for students to play.

Indoor Accommodation: Bunk-room style rooms sleep between 4 and 9.
Mendip Basecamp: Canvas-style accommodation sleeps up to 12.
Pop-up Tented Village: Each tent sleeps up to 10.
