Educational Tours

The London Archives is home to a wide range of documents, images, maps, films and books about London and is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to history and heritage through their Learning Programme.  It is a free public archive focusing on the history of London, from 1067 to the present day.  Each educational session supports the history curriculum at KS1 through to KS4 covering topics such as great fire of London, crime & punishment, World War 2, medicine through time, medieval life and who is a Londoner.

Coldharbour Mill Working Wool Museum Devon provides a mixture of workshops on the textile industry, with working machinery in action to give a flavour of sights, smells & sounds of a working woollen mill thruogh the Victorian age. We give an overview of the whole process of the industry, from sheep to finished fabrics. Coldharbour Mill provides an excellent resource on a number of educational levels, from  KS1 to  KS3 history.

Canal and River Tours Stratford Upon Avon provide school trips and educational groups with a fully interactive educational tour experience along a river packed full of wildlife and nature, historical history with facts and topics about Shakespeare and the Industrial Revolution including a 200 hundred year old working lock.

Much of the YHA hostel network is available for use by groups and schools. We offer both group accommodation that's great for teacher-led residentials as well as complete packages. Unless stated the hostel is bed and board only.

Students can grab a trowel and explore how people lived in the past on this amazing hands-on school trip experience, where history comes to life.

At The National Justice Museum Royal Courts of Justice, London our inspirational educational visits use authentic courtrooms, museum spaces, objects and archives to help pupils gain a practical understanding of the law and justice system. All of our workshops are curriculum-linked and we cover a wide variety of topics.

Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer offers high quality outdoor and adventurous activities for schools and educational groups with on site accommodation for up to 70 students and support staff. In the Churchill War Rooms London students can discover what life would have been like during the tense days and nights of the Second World War. This unique, historic underground bunker provides an exciting school day trip.

The Wilderness Centre Forest of Dean Gloucestershire offers residential and activity packages for school groups. The aim of The Wilderness Centre is to give schools the ultimate outdoor experience & leave all who visit with the knowledge and confidence to safely enjoy the outdoors. A residential stay here means affordable and comfortable accommodation for residential school trips. It offers both fully catered and self catering options are available. (Group sizes up to 100).

At the Manchester United Museum & Tour Centre, educational groups can enjoy interactive workshops, a tour of Old Trafford, as well as time for individual learning. The Museum and Tour is designed to support the new National Curriculum.
