Testimonials
From the moment your school party arrives at Woodland Valley Farm, you’ll be greeted with warmth and care by Felicity, Chris, Janet and the whole team – nothing is ever too much trouble. They have a wonderful way of making everyone feel welcome and part of something special.
The setting itself is stunning. Tucked away in a peaceful Cornish valley, Woodland Valley feels like a world of its own – surrounded by nature and full of opportunities for children to explore, learn and grow. What makes it truly exceptional, though, is how much thought and heart goes into everything they do. The farm is run organically, with a real commitment to sustainability and conservation and that ethos runs through every part of the stay.
The children are on the go from morning until evening – dam building and pond dipping, learning how to expertly build fires and shelters in the woods, treasure hunting and catapulting, exploring wildlife habitats and learning about the incredible Cornwall Beaver Project. It’s lovely to see how the children learn through doing – they’re having fun but they’re also discovering so much about the world around them.
After busy days outdoors, it’s a pleasure to come back to accommodation that’s comfortable and thoughtfully set up for school groups. The barns are beautifully restored and always spotless. And then there’s the food – always a highlight. Home-cooked meals that the children will talk about for weeks afterwards!
We’ve had many wonderful visits over the years, and every single one has been a joy. Woodland Valley Farm is a truly special place, run by people who care deeply about what they do. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough to any school looking for a residential that’s memorable and full of heart.
