Set in the heart of the beautiful Brecon Beacons, Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer specialise in delivering high quality outdoor adventurous activities for all ages and abilities. Our experienced, enthusiastic team have a strong background in outdoor activities and coaching, ensuring we deliver some of the most exciting and varied activities, including, canoeing, kayaking, caving, orienteering, mountain biking, rock climbing, abseiling, plus many more. We aim to provide our visitors with a unique experience leaving you with a sense of achievement and a desire for more! Dolygaer is proud to boast winning the Welsh Hospitality Awards in 2017 and 2018. We offer a variety of accommodation options, from our warm and cosy refurbished bunkhouse complete with on site catering facilities, to a fully equipped cottage that sleeps 6 people and overlooks the reservoir. Camping and shower facilities are also available at Dolygaer.

During a day trip we offer 2 different activities, which is chosen by the school. We cater each trip to the schools needs. A typical day would be gorge walking in the morning followed by raft building or canoeing in the afternoon.

The Lodge at Dolygaer sleeps up to 44, the chalet can sleep 26 and the cottage can sleep 6.

We provide all the equipment necessary for a safe and fun adventure. From wetsuits to crash hats, canoes to paddles.

Child safety is a big concern, so photography and filming is only permitted when full consent has been given.

Day packages start from £25 per student depending on the number of days and pupils attending, we offer 1 free staff place for every 11 students and all remaining staff are charged at half the student rate.

Yes, specific clothing is required for certain activities but we send out a kit list for the teachers/parents. We supply all the specialised equipment needed for each individual activity.

All staff are first aid qualified.

​We have 2 DDA complaint rooms in our chalet accommodation, plus a disabled changing room.
