What we offer on a school trip
Also known as fox howl, this centre sits in the heart of Delamere Forest and is well known for its homely appeal.
The centre is ideally located for immediate and safe access to the 3,000 hectares of Delamere Forest without having to walk along busy roads. The forest environment allows for activities such as orienteering, den building, survival skills, stream dipping, environmental games, forest art, and walks, during which pupils can study animal habitats and the different flora and fauna of the forest.
Why Schools Love Delamere:
- Delamere is our smallest residential centre and is perfect for younger children to enjoy their first trip away from home.
- All of the activities are integrated into the vast forest of Delamere so children can enjoy exploring natural surroundings, by simply stepping outside the door.
- Delamere has a real focus on habitats, river studies, and mapwork skills which all support with the primary science or geography curriculum.
