At the Anderton Centre, we are proud to offer both half-day and full-day activity programmes, each designed to provide a memorable and tailored experience for every group.

Half-day sessions, running from 09:30–12:30, 13:00–16:00, or 17:00–20:00, focus on either land or water activities and give participants the chance to enjoy a dedicated experience.

Full-day visits, available from 09:30–16:00 or 13:00–20:00, can include a combination of both land and water activities for a more varied programme.

We welcome a wide range of year groups and carefully design every visit to align with the specific aims and objectives set by our customers. Above all, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent, bespoke experiences that ensure every group leaves with lasting memories.

We welcome children aged five and above, with tailored programmes carefully designed to suit the needs and abilities of each year group.

When completing the booking form, there will be the opportunity to outline your group’s aims and objectives, allowing us to create a bespoke itinerary that reflects your priorities. While we offer a wide range of land and water-based activities, we recommend paddle sports for Year 4 and upwards, as younger children may find this activity particularly challenging. Our fully qualified instructors are highly experienced in nurturing communication skills, teamwork, and social development, while also building students’ self-esteem and confidence; all within a safe, supportive, and fun environment. For KS2 groups, we provide the flexibility to mix and match activities, and if your pupils are focusing on a particular topic in class, our instructors can shape outdoor learning around it, whether that’s exploring food, clothing, building materials, or ecology. With our tailored approach, we ensure every visit is engaging, educational, and full of laughter.

Our minimum group size for an activity day is five participants. We do not have a maximum size; it would just depend on the availability we have on the day you wish to attend.

For the land activities, the participants are put into smaller groups of 10 or less, so that they may maximise their time on an activity.

For water activities, we can usually accommodate group sizes of around 30/40 participants. Larger groups on the water will be split into half in the morning and half in the afternoon on full day visits.

We provide each booking with a group leader pack. This contains a kit list so that they are prepared for the day. All other materials, such as risk assessments, can be requested from the reception team.

Groups are authorised to take photos, film, and audio. We just ask that they politely inform the instructors and do not take any imagery or audio of any other groups onsite. If groups are happy to share the images they capture, please feel free to share them with us.

We can provide risk assessments upon request. Specific activity risk assessments will not be available until at least four weeks before their arrival date, as the itineraries are not completed until this time.

Educational facilities, youth groups, and charity groups will receive our charitable prices. Staff who are not participating can attend free of charge.

Yes, we provide a kit list for all groups so that they may come prepared for their activity day.

All of our instructors and the majority of our indoor staff are REC First Aid trained. First Aid kits can be found at various locations onsite. We also have two defibrillators onsite.

Tuck shop, social areas, changing rooms, secure lockers, toilets, conference rooms for hire, outdoor learning building, free WiFi, 24-hour staff, and spaces around site for lunch.

We are DDA compliant and we are also wheelchair accessible and have accessible toilets. Our staff have plenty of experience working with SEN groups.
