What makes you a great group accommodation choice for a school trip or educational visit
This is from one of our visiting schools:
“When I visited Chellington for the first time I was awed by the location and views. Our children live in a deprived area of Luton; they don’t see nature, and few have gardens. At Chellington they are able to see the vastness of the countryside and to know there is much more available to them than is found in their current world. They can climb trees, walk across a field of cows and sheep, sit round a campfire. It sparks their imagination and widens their horizons and creates an invaluable aspirational experience.
We created an orienteering course around the village. The children worked as a team and had lots of outdoor experience. With a night away they learnt how to look after themselves and all of the children came back, growing in confidence and becoming more rounded children. I believe that the children gained more from this venue than they can from any other residential providers.” St Matthew’s Primary School, Luton

“We had a lovely time – the children thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They enjoyed participating in the orienteering activity, playing on the field and helping to prepare their own meals. The orienteering was great – clearly explained and lots of fun. The children enjoyed using the equipment and following the maps. The bursary allowed this visit to be accessible to all children in the class, some of whom wouldn’t have been able to go had we not had the bursary.” St Helen’s Primary
“We had a lovely time and the children really enjoyed themselves. They learnt a lot from the orienteering activity and the Lego activity. The facilities are really good and the children enjoyed the fresh air.” Loughton School
“Our GCSE students had an amazing time at the Chellington Centre studying the River Great Ouse. They loved getting into the river to collect primary data! An experience that brought geography to life and created lasting memories.” Head of Geography, Bedford
