Menadue Residential Centre North Cornwall

We are a residential centre, with a beautiful farmhouse set out for school groups to stay in. This sleeps 22 people, with a home from home feel bunkbeds upstairs and 2 lounges and a kitchen downstairs. We also have a new building of dormitories which sleeps 14, with their own bathrooms. We can offer a self-catering kitchen, or catering, with a large barn for eating in and indoor play/activity space. We also have 2 generous fields for your own use, which look over the Cornish coastline and often offer a sunset into the horizon.

If you have a larger group, we have a modern shower and toilet block for camping, if you can provide your own tents.

Our partnerships with local activity providers mean that we can offer you a diverse range of water and land-based activities off site, by the top local providers adding value to your trip and increasing the adventure factor! We also have ample space for you to book activity leaders for field-based games on site, or you can have the freedom to lead your own program completely at your leisure with indoor and outdoor areas available on the site too

Menadue is the ideal place to stay to nurture young people and enable them to grow in confidence, new skills, and self-confidence as well as awareness of others, responsibility and simply to have fun enjoying the outdoor space.

You can book the whole site for your, giving pupils a unique opportunity to spend quality time together in a new and safe environment.

We will make your trip as easy as possible by creating a residential base that all pupils will feel at home in. The knowledge we have built over the years of what will best serve your needs in the surrounding areas provides a foundation for you to create your own bespoke residential, or you can request support from the Centre Manager of Menadue. We will also provide all kits lists, risk assessments, and guidance far in advance.

Our residential site is the ideal environment to enable pupils to develop relationships, explore resilience and enjoy activities. The location is both peaceful and fun, with a high quality, clean and homely farmhouse which is the ideal place to sleep and re-energise ready for the next day of adventure!

Our staff are friendly, approachable and supportive and will do all they can to make your trip as fun, memorable and smooth as possible. You can request a manager onsite for the duration of your stay, or take complete control yourselves, the option is yours. Make your residential, your way.

Schools have exclusive use of the whole site which includes 2 fields for outdoor games and sports, firepit, scavenger hunts etc. Inside we have table tennis, snooker, table football and plenty of room for wet-weather activities and games.

We can sleep 36 people indoors, and 100 camping.

No restrictions on our site. All photography taken by our staff is only done if signed consent forms are completed.

We provide risk assessments and all paperwork prior to arrival, and can provide at any point after deposit, on request.

Every 10 children 1 adult goes free.

There are first aid stations across the site, however staff on the trip are responsible for the children’s health and safety, including injury as we are accommodation only.

If you are off site doing more extreme sports with a local company, group leaders will need to understand what the providers policies are. These can be requested through the centre manager or by going direct.

Free WIFI in the farmhouse, dining areas, toilets, wet rooms, study/craft room, games room and social areas, field games equipment, outdoor picnic areas, camping shower and toilet block for campers, all accommodation is lockable at the doors and windows.

Menadue is situated on the coast, overlooking the village of Tintagel. This small village is internationally known for Tintagel castle, where groups can visit for free if connect to education through English Heritage.

The costline also boasts a number of stunning rugged walks including the Rocky Valley walk where you can explore the ancient labyrinth carvings before reaching Bossiney cove.

Our site is only a short drive away from the famous surfing beaches of Polzeath and Widemouth Bay, with plenty to do than just surf.

There are activities and excursions possible in every direction from out location.

Our refurbished Grade II listed 18th Century Farmhouse sleeps 22 and boasts a fully fitted kitchen, 2 lounges, 5 bedrooms with 1 being en-suite and modern wet rooms.

Our dormitory block sleeps 14 and includes 1 en-suite and an accessible bathroom facility.

The modern external toilet/shower block is close to the fields for camping and adjacent to the barn and catering kitchen.
