What we offer on a school trip
Llain Activity Centre is located in 10 acres of beautiful countryside on a former farm with 240 buildings accommodating the catering block. There is a variety of student and teacher accommodation in addition to the ‘Canvass Village’, a dedicated Bell tent site.
With large grounds for children to play in during free time, there is a football field and rope and tyre swings.
A common room offers a wet weather area. We also have a large swimming pool with bouldering climbing wall over the water for instructor led sessions only.
A wide range of activities on site means that we can do a whole week of activities without leaving the centre. These can include Climbing, High ropes course and Abseiling on our Sky Tower, Kayaking, Paddle Boarding and Raft Building on our large lake, Bushcraft and Forest Schools activities in our 40 acre woodland, Orienteering, Team building. Archery, Night line and of course, the ever popular Mud assault course! However we can also offer Coasteering, Sailing and Dolphin spotting boat trips in nearby New Quay as ‘bonus’ activities if requested.
