Based in acres of Hertfordshire woodland, just an hour from Central London, Rootd Adventure offers immersive outdoor residential trips for primary and secondary schools. Our residentials give children the chance to switch off from the distractions of daily life, take on new challenges, learn new skills and make some amazing memories together. We have accommodation options suitable for all seasons, so we can welcome schools all year round. We provide full catering and can accommodate groups sizes of up to 120. We believe every child should have the chance to experience outdoor adventures, so we aim to make our residential trips accessible to as many children as possible. From one-night nature trips to three-night adventures, we offer great value at affordable prices.

Visiting UK Parliament is a great opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of democracy, governance and the political system. Visits include a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster and a curricula-informed workshop in the award-winning Education Centre. The tours and workshop programmes are suitable for students aged 7 to 18 and they are linked to the National Curriculum. You can register on the booking portal to book your school visit.

Nuclear High Ropes Tree Top Adventure Essex are the only high ropes journey course in the County. We cater for children from the age of 6 years, but we recommend our ropes course for School Year 5 and over. We offer 6 fantastic tree top courses across 3 different levels reaching 20meters high. This rural location offers three log cabin dormitories for your residential stay, one of which is a specialist cabin for young people with disabilities, and 15-acres of woodland to explore. The site can sleep up to 170 people.
