Henley Fort is a Victorian Fort built during the late 19th Century to protect London from invasion by the French; later it was used by the Home Guard in World War 2 as a re-supply depot. It is now an outdoor education facility offering groups a chance to take part in challenging activities or a living historical experience. Coldharbour Mill Working Wool Museum Devon provides a mixture of workshops on the textile industry, with working machinery in action to give a flavour of sights, smells & sounds of a working woollen mill thruogh the Victorian age. We give an overview of the whole process of the industry, from sheep to finished fabrics. Coldharbour Mill provides an excellent resource on a number of educational levels, from  KS1 to  KS3 history.
