What makes us a great choice for educational groups
It is an enjoyable learning session for children and teachers alike. Along with the tour an educational pack is sent which includes information about the zoo and animals. There is time after the tour to complete work sheets in our cabins. We have schools that come back year after year.
What is typically included on our school trips
An Education pack is sent out once a booking is made, with a letter allowing a free pre-visit for teachers to carry out a risk assessment. The day includes a guided tour, use of the cabin for lunch, an afternoon session in cabin and time to play in our well-equipped playground. We cater for ages 2-11 but can also adapt to suit older children and students. Our tours can be adapted to suit.
Group Sizes
We can cater for group sizes between 15 and 60.
Materials, Resources & Keystage Information
We provide a teacher’s pack which includes work sheets and suggestions for tour topics linked to the curriculum.
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
Photography of the animals and members of your own school group is permitted.
Risk Assessment
The risk assessment is included in the teacher’s pack and the teacher may visit anytime with a confirmation letter and risk assessment.
