Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter provides a unique enrichment learning interactive experience for educational groups. The production crew saved many of the iconic sets, props and costumes that were created especially for the films just in case they were ever needed later on in the series.

Located at the Studios where all eight films were produced, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London celebrates the British talent and artistry that went into the making of the wizarding world.
Enjoy a spellbinding educational visit, where students can gain real-world insights into one of the UK’s most exciting creative industries with a free curriculum-linked lesson. Our award-winning education programme allows students to discover how subjects studied at school connect to careers across the film industry, from Art & Design and Marketing to Business and beyond. Developed and delivered by qualified teachers, our lessons bring learning to life through exclusive access to authentic props and costumes, and inspiring insights into the creative careers behind-the-scenes.

What to Expect
On arrival, you can visit our Food Hall in the Studio Tour Hub, where tiered seating is available for students to enjoy their own packed lunches or purchase hot or cold food, both before and after their Studio Tour.
If you book a lesson as part of your Studio Tour visit, it will take place in one of our purpose-built classrooms before your Studio Tour begins. Led by our qualified teachers, each lesson explores the different stages of the film production process that helped bring the Harry Potter film series to life. Students will also have the chance to see authentic props and costumes, available exclusively in our classrooms, with many lessons ending in a hands-on activity to help bring their learning to life.
Following your lesson, or if you are visiting without a lesson, you will enter the Studio Tour at your booked timeslot. All visitors are guided through the introduction room, cinema, and Great Hall. Beyond the Great Hall, you can continue through the Studio Tour at your own pace, with countless opportunities to uncover behind-the-scenes secrets as you explore the authentic sets, props and costumes from the Harry Potter film series.
Take the chance to experience green screen technology for yourself and ride a broomstick just like the cast did during filming! You can even take home a free digital download photo of each student experiencing the magic, when you book as part of a school group.
Halfway through the Studio Tour, take a break in the Backlot Café where you can enjoy your own packed lunch or buy from our magical selection of hot meals while soaking up the views of our iconic exterior sets like Privet Drive and Professor Sprout’s greenhouse.
In our outdoor Backlot, discover the art of Foley through the interactive ‘Secrets of Sound Effects’ demonstration inside the Backlot Stage.
The second half of the Studio Tour provides an opportunity to learn how intricate prosthetics help transform actors into creatures, and marvel at the innovative artistry that brings a Director’s vision to the big screen. Discover original concept artwork and detailed white card models as you visit the Art Department, all before your spellbinding experience ends with a breathtaking scale model of Hogwarts™ castle.

Free pre- and post-visit resources are provided for every lesson, helping students prepare for their visit and consolidate learning back in the classroom. You can also access a downloadable Studio Tour trail to support independent exploration during your visit.
Group Sizes
If you have a pre-booked lesson, we can accommodate a maximum of 55 people including adults and children, per classroom, with two classrooms available. Lessons are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
If you are visiting without a lesson, our maximum capacity per school per day is 120 people.

Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
There are lots of exciting photo opportunities throughout the Studio Tour to allow students to take home an everlasting memory.
The taking of photographs and video footage with handheld cameras and mobile devices is allowed in most areas, apart from within the pre-show introduction room, cinema and green screen photo opportunity areas.
Please note, filming with the use of tripods and other specialist photographic equipment (such as drones) is not permitted across the site, including in exterior areas such as the car park.
Risk Assessment
Risk assessment information is available to download from our website, and free pre-visit tickets for two teachers are available to book once your visit has been booked and paid for.
School rates are available to schools based in the UK on selected term dates, subject to availability. There are a limited number of school tickets available per day, and they must be booked at least six weeks in advance, so please book early to avoid disappointment. If you are a university, language school, summer school or a school outside the UK you will receive group pricing. Please visit the Studio Tour website for more pricing information.
First Aid
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London has a qualified Ambulance Technician and trained First Aiders on hand to assist with illness or injury. Teachers or students needing assistance can speak to any member of staff on site who will arrange help. AEDs are also available on-site.

Accessibility & Disabled Facilities
The Learning Team are all SEN-trained qualified teachers with experience of tailoring lessons to students’ needs.
The majority of the Studio Tour is accessible for wheelchairs, but some areas can be difficult to navigate, including Diagon Alley’s™ cobbled street, the Great Hall’s slate floor, the Forbidden Forest’s spongy surface, and Privet Drive’s narrow doorway. In the Backlot, the Knight Bus™has a short boarding platform which cannot be accessed by wheelchairs, nor can the Hogwarts Bridge due to the uneven surface.
The Hogwarts Express™ can be accessed via a short staircase. As this is an original set piece with a narrow corridor, alternative access cannot be provided for wheelchair users. However, an accessible viewing carriage can be found at the end of the Hogwarts Express™ .
Our green screen photography experiences provide visitors with two fully accessible photo opportunities, including the chance to fly a broomstick just like the cast did during filming. If any help or assistance is required at the broomstick or interactive carriages green screen experience, please approach an available member of staff.
Accessible toilets are available throughout the Studio Tour and a Changing Place facility, accessible with a RADAR key, can be found in the Lobby. This space is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair user and two essential companions. We kindly request that you bring your own slings to use with the hoist, as these are not provided.
On site we also have two Sensory rooms that are available if needed, please ask any member of staff to help locate these. Sensory support bags and Autism and Accessibility Guides are available to collect from the Information Desk on arrival at the Studio Tour. The bags contain assistance aids for visitors with additional needs, including fidget toys, ear defenders and a Sunflower Lanyard.
