What does your residential centre offer for school trips

Ufton Court provides a wide range of curriculum-linked history trips and outdoor learning programmes for schools, voluntary organisations and community groups.
Through our charity, The Ufton Court Educational Trust, we subsidise school day and residential trips for children from deprived areas. We give children a safe space to learn about themselves and provide the freedom to flourish, helping them grow up more confident, curious and capable.

What makes you a great group accommodation choice for a school trip

Schools describe us as their “Home from Home”, often booking several years in advance. We provide an immersive and personal approach, and pride ourselves on maintaining a site beyond expectations. All our staff are carefully selected and live Ufton’s values as their own, and work as one team for the same goal.
Our history topics are truly immersive, with our staff in costumes and a themed banquet where your children will be able to dress up and feel as though they’re living in the era they have learned about on their stay. We provide high quality, accredited experiential educational visits.

Our staff are first aid trained and have access to first aid kits on site. We always recommend that each visiting school has their own designated and qualified first aider.
Available facilities

Visiting schools would be allocated a designated indoor space for their visit, with access to toilets and free guest WiFi for adults. Children would have access to outdoor playing and social areas.
We have a member of staff on call 24/7 with these groups provided with a mobile phone to contact our on-call team member, if required. We do not currently have a souvenir shop or similar, so no pocket money would be required.
Catering options

Residential visits are fully catered in house. We have a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating and are experienced in catering for a variety of dietary and allergy requirements.
We are a nut free site as standard. We provide weighing scales for any food that needs to be weighed (e.g. for medical need) and can provide a fridge for use (e.g. for medication).
Accessibility & Disabled Facilities

Our Education Staff are trauma informed and experienced in working with a variety of SEND needs.
We are located on an historic outdoor site with listed building status, therefore we cannot offer 100% accessibility guarantee.
We have a downstairs bedroom and accessible bathroom and shower facilities in our Manor House, as well as an accessible cabin with accessible bathroom and shower facilities as part of our Woodland Cabins. We have a disabled access toilet in our outdoor toilet block.
Most of our spaces are wheelchair accessible, however activities would take place around site where the terrain could be challenging. We do have an off-road wheelchair that can be used for the length of your stay. We also have two deaf guards available for use for hearing impaired persons staying overnight. We aim to ensure every child and visiting person can access our site and activities, so schools are encouraged to contact us with specific concerns so that we can look to accommodate them.

Standard office hours are 8:30am – 5pm Mon-Fri not including bank holidays. We close between Christmas and New Year.
