What makes you a great group choice for a school trip or educational visit

Schools describe us as their “Home from Home”, often booking several years in advance. We provide an immersive and personal approach, and pride ourselves on maintaining a site beyond expectations. All our staff are carefully selected and live Ufton’s values as their own, and work as one team for the same goal. Our history topics are truly immersive, with our staff in costumes and a themed banquet where your children will be able to dress up and feel as though they’re living in the era they have learned about on their stay.
We provide high quality, accredited experiential educational visits.

Available facilities

Visiting schools would be allocated a designated indoor space for their visit, with access to toilets and free guest WiFi for adults. Children would have access to outdoor playing and social areas. For residential visits, we have a member of staff on call 24/7 with these groups provided with a mobile phone to contact our on-call team member, if required. We do not currently have a souvenir shop or similar, so no pocket money would be required.
Accessibility & Disabled Facilities

Our Education Staff are trauma informed and experienced in working with a variety of SEND needs.
We are located on an historic outdoor site with listed building status, therefore we cannot offer 100% accessibility guarantee but we have a downstairs bedroom and accessible bathroom and shower facilities in our Manor House, as well as an accessible cabin with accessible bathroom and shower facilities. Most of our spaces are wheelchair accessible, however activities would take place around site where the terrain could be challenging. We do have an off-road wheelchair that can be used for the length of your stay. We also have two deaf guards available for use for hearing impaired persons staying overnight. We aim to ensure every child and visiting person can access our site and activities, so schools are encouraged to contact us with specific concerns so that we can look to accommodate them.
Opening times

Our team works throughout the year, including during school holidays, to support schools and visitors with their bookings and enquiries. Standard office hours are 8:30am – 5pm Mon-Fri not including bank holidays. We close between Christmas and New Year.
