Our immersive escape rooms go beyond puzzle-solving; they provide an exciting way to foster essential skills like teamwork, communication, and critical thinking among students.

We have a variety of themed escape rooms tailored to different age groups and learning objectives, each designed to encourage teamwork as students collaborate to solve challenges and unlock mysteries. Beyond the classic escape rooms, we also feature additional activities like The Raid Experience and The Haunted Hound Bar Experience.

The Raid Experience combines an escape room adventure with a museum twist, where students take on a thrilling, space-themed mission that requires strategic planning, effective communication, and complex puzzle-solving to succeed. This highly immersive experience reinforces critical thinking and teamwork in a memorable way.

The Haunted Hound Bar Experience, on the other hand, offers a distinct atmosphere by blending escape puzzles with a haunted pub setting, adding an exciting layer of mystery that immerses students in a different style of interactive play.

The Great Escape Game is an ideal choice for educational visits, offering immersive, story-driven challenges that combine hands-on learning with critical skill-building. In experiences like The Raid, students face team-based puzzles that require strategic thinking, effective communication, and close coordination to progress.

In team-oriented rooms such as King Arthur’s Secret, students must work together to solve mediaeval-themed puzzles and challenges, where collaboration is key to find a new King of England and reunite the seven kingdoms under one true leader. This setup encourages students to listen actively, value each team member’s input, and synchronise their actions, making communication and trust-building essential to their success.

With a strong focus on safety and support, our trained staff guide students through the experience in a comfortable, encouraging atmosphere, inspiring creative thinking and collaboration. Schools and youth groups consistently return to The Great Escape Game for the positive impact they see on students’ confidence, teamwork, and enthusiasm for learning.

The Great Escape Game Leeds does not currently list the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge or the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) accreditation. However, our immersive escape rooms are specifically designed to support critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, which makes us popular for both educational groups and team-building events.

At The Great Escape Game, we strive to provide engaging experiences that can support various key stages and curriculum topics. While we do not have specific packages tailored to each curriculum area, our escape rooms encourage skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving, which are valuable across multiple subjects.

Educators can inform us of their group’s learning objectives, and we can suggest which rooms can align with their goals.

At The Great Escape Game, our group sizes can accommodate a maximum of 39 people across all our rooms and activities at the same time. This capacity allows for larger school groups or teams to participate together.

While our escape rooms are suitable for various age ranges, we typically cater to groups of children aged 10 and up, depending on the specific activities chosen. For younger participants, we recommend adult supervision to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

While we currently do not provide specific educational materials or resources linked to individual sections of the curriculum or key stages, our escape rooms are designed to promote skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving, which can complement various educational objectives.

There are no restrictions on photography, filming, or audio recording at The Great Escape Game. Guests are welcome to capture their experiences; however, we encourage everyone to be mindful of not revealing too much about the puzzles and surprises within our rooms.

At The Great Escape Game, we prioritise safety and have established comprehensive risk assessment processes to ensure a secure environment for all participants. We conduct thorough risk assessments for each of our escape rooms, considering factors such as fire safety, emergency exits, and potential hazards within the gaming areas.

To further enhance safety, we provide waiver forms for all participants. These forms serve to inform guests about the inherent risks associated with the escape room experience, ensuring that everyone is aware of and accepts these risks before engaging in the activities. This practice not only protects our organisation from liability but also emphasises our commitment to transparency and safety.

• Family Discounts: Families can benefit from a 20% discount on tickets during school holidays​
• Supervising Adults: For groups of children, one supervising adult can go in free of charge

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows for full range of motion to successfully complete all challenges in our escape rooms.

We have a designated first aid station on-site, stocked with essential supplies to address any minor injuries or medical needs that may arise during your visit. Additionally, we have staff members trained in first aid who are available to assist in case of an emergency.

At The Great Escape Game Sheffield, we offer a variety of facilities to enhance your visit. These include:

• Toilets: Accessible facilities are available

• Dining Areas: There is a bar and a dining area on-site where groups can relax before or after their escape experience
• Lift: As our venue is situated on the 4th floor, the building has a lift making it accessible for everyone

Currently, our Leeds branch only features accessible toilets and a lift, but we are dedicated to continually improving our facilities to enhance accessibility for all guests.

The Great Escape Game operates daily from 09:00 to 23:30, although hours may vary based on daily bookings and demand.
