Over the years, we’ve welcomed numerous educational visits—from geography field trips to science-focused excursions. Our location, just a short distance from the sea and surrounded by lush countryside, makes us a particularly attractive destination for schools looking to provide hands-on, inspiring learning experiences.

We offer a variety of facilities that can be adapted for different educational and recreational needs. For example, we have flexible indoor spaces that can be set up for student presentations or group activities.

When it comes to dining, we’re well-equipped to accommodate packed lunches with designated areas for students to eat comfortably. We also offer private dining options for group meals. For school groups under 60, we can arrange private lunches or dinners—and for larger groups, we’re happy to discuss tailored options.

We prioritise student safety and group coordination. All students are housed in the same area, with teachers placed in rooms that allow full visibility and supervision of student accommodations.

Our team is dedicated to making school trips as smooth and enjoyable as possible, and we’re always happy to work with you to meet specific needs or requests.

Resort amenities include a large restaurant, serving locally-sourced, freshly-cooked food, an indoor heated pool (open April to mid-November), a shop, cafe, bar, beer garden, and even an on-site spa. 

Kids of all ages can enjoy hours of fun in our 3-tiered indoor playground, traditional games area, library corner, bean bag cinema, and gaming zone, equipped with Nintendo, PS5s and more. Check our website to find out about the kids’ holiday club and live event schedule.

Standard Two-Bedroom Apartment

A bright two-bedroom apartment with double and twin beds, and linen included. The airy living room has a comfortable sofa, flat-screen TV and dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances including an electric hob/oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave, and there is a clean, tiled bathroom with an electric shower.

Superior Two-Bedroom Apartment

This Superior two-bedroom apartment is finished with a touch of luxury. The king size and twin beds are all deep-sprung and dressed in crisp, white linen. The kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, modern electric oven with a ceramic hob, plus a dishwasher, and microwave. There is a sleek bathroom with a modern sink and roomy shower, finished to high standards with chrome fittings. 

Studio with Sea View

Our sea view studio apartments are a versatile option, with a high quality, king size bed that can be converted into twin beds upon request. The studio includes a compact dining area, comfortable sofa, and flat-screen TV, with a wide selection of free satellite channels. There’s a fully fitted-kitchen area with an electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge, and microwave. The separate, sleek bathroom includes a roomy walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet and sink. These bright and airy studio apartments provide stunning views of the sea.

We don’t provide risk assessments for teachers; however, they are very welcome to visit the resort beforehand. During their visit, we’ll be more than happy to accommodate any questions or concerns they might have.

Each department has a fully stocked first aid kit. Main station is in the swimming pool.

We have 4 fully qualified first aiders on site.

We provide a dedicated activity area with board games, card games, and a range of child-friendly software and digital games. Our indoor heated pool is available year-round, and includes an adjacent changing area for convenience and comfort.

We also have a well-equipped games room featuring video games, tablets, and other entertainment options suitable for school-age children. In addition, the resort includes a small shop, a restaurant, and a café for both students and staff to enjoy.

To enhance the overall experience, we’ve built partnerships with other local businesses and activity providers throughout North Devon. This allows us to offer a wider variety of educational and recreational experiences beyond our own on-site amenities—making the most of what the region has to offer.

For students or staff with accessibility needs, we also provide easy-access accommodation, including a specially designed room with wide doors and an accessible bathroom (wet room) that can comfortably accommodate a wheelchair.

If there are specific requirements for your group, we’ll do our best to meet them. We’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all school visitor

There are 5 easy access apartments with ramps, close proximity to parking and oversized bathrooms.  Much of the commercial venue is wheelchair accessible.

We are in the process of taking on an out of hours off site service between 10pm and 9am, this is a professional out of hours service, and will have one responder each night on site. This way we can professionally cover for all eventualities 24 hours.
