An outdoor karting experience for children (from 6 to 17 years of age) we run hire kart sessions on circuit, driving our petrol bambino, cadet or junior hire karts.

We have a fantastic well-kept outdoor circuit, friendly staff & marshals to welcome you. Our driver briefings are a popular introduction to your time on track.

Our circuit has accreditation with Motorsport UK.

We only run hire kart sessions on track for children.

We ask all drivers/bookings to turn up 30 mins before going on track ‘circuit arrival’.

All drivers report to reception and sign-on.

All drivers are then issued with a hire kart suit to put over their own clothes.

All drivers attend the circuits hire kart briefing.

All drivers are issued with a helmet, staff checking drivers have the correct size & straps are done up correctly.

All drivers are issued with a pair of gloves to wear for the duration of their time on track.

All karts are fitted with a transponder unit, which is a timing device, so result sheets are printed and handed to the driver.

All children take part in a brake test.  This means all children work with a marshal on a one to one basis, sit inside the kart which is situated in the pit lane.  Children practice starting and stopping 2 to 3 times, learning how to control the kart before going on the live circuit.

The paid for session only starts when drivers enter onto the live circuit.

All staff and marshal are on radio communication throughout the duration of the event.

If students are 18 & 19 years of age, or if any teachers or associated parents wanted to join them on-track action, they could do so, driving the junior hire karts also.

Equipment is included in the price.

You can take photos/film footage. Any one doing so must sign our circuit media declaration form and be wearing a high viz vest. There are circuit restrictions on where photographs/filming can be taken from.

When schools or associations are processing a booking with us, we send them a copy of our risk assessments.

Normal clothing.

Long hair will need to be tied back.

Footwear needs to be trainers or flat enclosed shoes/boots.

Glasses can be worn when helmets are on.

We have a first aid room and several staff are first aid trained.

We have toilets, changing area, café area, reception area, briefing room.

The café may not always be open for hot food.

Reception area can always sell hot/cold drinks & confectionery snacks.

Packed lunches can be eaten in the café area upstairs or outside if weather good.

Pocket money, maybe up to £5 if a person wishes to purchase drink/snack.

From May 2020 onwards we are compliant, no SEN staff, wheel chair access & lift will be in place Summer 2020 onwards.

For hire karts – 10am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday.

Some weekends, we run hire kart bookings where we can sometimes run later into the evening – summer months.

Pre-booking is essential.

Arrival time of 45 minutes before the booked slot.

Payment in full is required before event date.

A minimum 50% of the total booking cost is required with booking confirmation.

Card payment over the phone or bank payments.

Can raise & send a VAT Invoice upon request.
