What we offer on our Educational Tours


For educational visits we offer an inspiring and engaging tour that combines the legacy of the 2012 games and the innovations that have transformed the stadium into a world class venue that is now the home to UK Athletics and Premier League football team, West Ham United. From your initial enquiry, to the moment your leave the stadium our specialist team work hard to understand your requirements and ensure we deliver an experience that exceeds your expectations. Our dedicated bookings team are on hand to provide you with all the pre-visit information you need including; risk-assessments, free coach parking, free teacher places and much more.
On the day itself you will be greeted by one of our experienced stadium tour guides who will provide each student with an individual multimedia device and worksheets which will be referred to throughout the tour, enhancing the visit The route encompasses all the areas of interest from panoramic views of the stadium bowl and roof, to our unique indoor track that allows your students to participate in various sporting activities.
Each part of the tour is designed to engage students, with the supporting worksheets providing a number of activities and covering a range of topics. At the end of the tour each participant (including the teachers!) receive a free personalised certificate to say they have experienced the London Stadium Tour. When the time comes to leave our stadium your students will have the opportunity to explore the grounds of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and discover sites such as the Aquatics Centre, the Velodrome and the ArcelorMittal Orbit.

Our tour takes your students on a journey of discovery as they gain a fascinating insight into the innovations that exist at the London Stadium; whilst also being wowed by reliving the inspiring moments that made the London 2012 games the greatest games of all time. Our part-guided/part-multimedia tour keeps children engaged throughout and offers an excellent environment to learn with the addition of our new worksheets.
What is typically included on our school trips


Our 12 worksheets cover key stages 2, 3 and 4 across the following subjects; Innovations Science at the Stadium Social and Health Education – Being Respected and Respecting Others In addition to our worksheets, your group will each receive a multimedia device to use on the tour which contains videos, information and interactive features to ensure they are fully engaged throughout the tour. Your tour will also be led by one of our experienced stadium tour guides.

In July 2017 we enlisted the specialist knowledge and experience of ‘Exciting Education’ to develop and deliver educational work packs that enhance our educational stadium tour, creating a fun learning experience for children of all ages. Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions


We actively encourage all tour participants to take and record as many photos and videos as possible.
Risk Assessment


We supply a completed risk assessment but also provide two complimentary tickets for teachers to come and experience the tour and route, allowing them to conduct their own assessment ahead of their group’s visit.

Clothing Requirements


Not necessarily, however the tour does visit outside areas and we request teachers ensure their students are appropriately dressed for inclement weather. Additionally, there is a sporting activity section to the tour where appropriate footwear is recommended but not essential.
First Aid


All member of the London Stadium security team are first aid trained.
Available Facilities


Stadium Store (West Ham) Stadium Café There are no indoor facilities provided to eat a packed lunch. The Olympic Park does however have ample space for eating outdoors.

Our Stadium tour is fully accessible.

Our tour is available on all non-match/event days from 10:00 to 15:00 (15:30 on Saturdays). Please check our website for up to date information.
