School, youth, and charity groups benefit from a discounted rate of £10 per person, and exclusive hire of the facility is available for £200, making it a flexible and cost-effective option for larger groups. Group sizes
For group or party bookings, you need to book for at least 10 climbers.
For their standard party packages, the maximum is 30 climbers per session.
Photography, filming & audio restrictions
Photos or videos may be taken during sessions for promotional use. If visitors do not consent, climbers are advised to inform Clip n Climb Metrocentre verbally or in writing.
Risk assessment
- All climbers must attend a safety briefing before entering the arena.
- Staff explain how to use the auto-belay systems correctly, clip in safely, and follow the climbing rules.
- There is a formal “Acknowledgement of Risk” statement for climbers to agree to.

Standard climbing sessions cost £14.95 per person for 45 minutes of climbing.
There are special offers: for example, on Tuesdays you can get 50% off standard climbing sessions.
There’s a Blue Light discount (for NHS/emergency services, armed forces, etc.) – Blue Light Card holders can climb for £10 (drop slide included).
Early bird and Twilight offers: e.g. Sunday 10am and 10:15am sessions are £10; evening sessions (5–8 pm) are also £10 with their Twilight deal.

Climbers must wear suitable, climbing-appropriate clothing.

Flat, closed-toe shoes only — no flip-flops, Crocs, heels, boots, or climbing-specialist shoes.
For the Drop Slide, climbers must wear socks.
Long hair must be tied back, and loose jewellery, hats, or hoodies must be removed before climbing.
First Aid
Clip ’n Climb staff undergo structured training. Their Level 1 training covers safety briefings, harness fitting, supervision, and routine checks.
There is also Level 2 training, which includes rescue procedures (e.g. rescuing a climber who is “frozen” or dealing with a failed auto-belay).
