Camping La Savane Residential School Trips
4 tented villages, a 5-night activity holiday including a 2-day river descent down the Ardeche river with a sleepover in a bivouac as the highlight of the trip along with many other great activities.
What makes you a great group accommodation choice for a school trip
Our trip to the Ardeche is extremely popular with groups doing the same trip now for 20+ years. It gives pupils (and adults) memories to treasure for a lifetime, and also have teachers who have also done our trip as students!

Pricing
Costings for 5 nights on centre (8 days including travel) are from £899 per person, we offer 1:10 free adult places. Deposits are £50pp via coach or £150pp for flight bookings. Trips are recommended for high school students (12 years and above)
First Aid
The centre has risk assessments, local doctors and hospitals and usually a trained first aider within the team for minor ailments. Most groups always have a first aid-trained staff member travelling on their trips
Available facilities
Swimming pool, recreational outdoor space with pool table and arcade games, shop on site, accept bank cards and euros, basketball courts, large open space to play ball games, toilets and shower blocks, each village has a marque for the group on that specific village – this is where they eat and can use for groups to meet. Wifi is for group adults only due to the location of the site, the signal can be weak if too many were to use it. Locked gates to the campsite on an evening, evening staff.
Catering options
The trip is full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Squash/water offered at meal times, tea/coffee making facilities in the marquee. The shop onsite also does extra food and drinks (fizzy pop, hot drinks etc)
Accessibility & Disabled Facilities
The site/trip is not suitable for wheelchair users but we can cater for SEN individuals along with information being provided. We will always look at an individual’s needs as we try and make the trips as inclusive as possible.
Opening times
The centre is open 7 days a week from early May until the end of August with trips arriving Saturday and Sundays. The site is only for Acorn Adventure groups and is not open to the public.
Location information
The site is close to the village of Ruoms, which has many cafes, restaurants, shops and ice cream shops for the groups to visit on their trip here. You can walk to Ruoms from the site, which will take approximately 30 minutes. They also have a market on throughout the groups stay. There is also a restaurant on the neighbouring campsite that sells pizzas which groups have been to many times in the past
