Scout Adventures – Inspiring adventures for youth groups in the great outdoors!

At Scout Adventures, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door — it just looks a little different once helmets, harnesses and muddy boots are involved.

Across our adventures centres, we work with primary and secondary schools to deliver outdoor experiences that feel exciting for young people and reassuringly well-organised for teachers. Whether it’s a first residential away from home, a transitional visit or a curriculum-linked activity day, our programmes are designed to help pupils grow in confidence, resilience and leadership — often without them even realising they’re learning.

From climbing and abseiling to problem-solving challenges and teambuilding tasks, every activity has a purpose. Our sessions are led by friendly, fully qualified instructors who know how to balance challenge with encouragement, and who are experts at bringing out the best in every child. You’ll see quiet pupils find their voice, confident ones learn patience and whole groups start working together in new ways.

We know organising a school trip can feel like a big responsibility. That’s why we make things straightforward. Our teams support you right from the first enquiry right through to arriving on site, with clear planning, robust safety procedures and flexible programmes that work around your school’s needs. On residentials, comfortable accommodation, tasty food and supportive staff teams help everyone settle in quickly.

Scout Adventures isn’t about ticking boxes or filling time. It’s about giving young people space to try something new, take safe risks and surprise themselves. For teachers, it’s a chance to see pupils differently — and to bring learning to life in ways the classroom sometimes can’t.

Why choose Scout Adventures?

Scout Adventures is a not-for-profit organisation and is owned and operated by The Scout Association – the UK’s leading youth charity in the UK. In line with Scout values (care, respect, integrity, cooperation, exploring our own and others’ beliefs) we believe in preparing young people with skills for life, creating better futures. Every year over 120 international volunteers join our professional staff teams and are trained to deliver high-quality activities. This creates a unique, memorable, multi-cultural experience for every school group, inspiring and supporting young people to grow.
