Anderton Centre offers a wide range of day visits, residential experiences, and public events, making it the perfect choice for educational trips and community engagement alike.
Set in the heart of the beautiful Lancashire countryside, the Centre provides a safe yet adventurous environment where children aged 5+ can enjoy tailored programmes designed to meet the aims and objectives of each group. Day visits are available as half-day or full-day sessions, with half days focusing on either land or water activities and full days offering the opportunity to combine both. For longer stays, we provide flexible catered residentials, as well as non-catered options in our fully equipped Rivington Block.
All programmes are bespoke and can be shaped around curriculum themes or specific outcomes, with paddle sports recommended for Year 4 upwards. Our fully qualified instructors are highly experienced in developing teamwork, communication, and resilience, while also building self-esteem and confidence through laughter and fun. Beyond school trips, we run events throughout the year for the public, including Open Days and seasonal holiday-themed events such as Halloween, Easter, and Christmas.
