What are our school workshops like

An Art in Prehistory day offers your pupils the chance to engage with the art and culture of ancient people throughout Prehistory. Beginning at our reconstructed Palaeolithic cave, they will have the chance to learn about the symbolism of cave paintings, before making their own. They will then move through the ages to the Bronze Age, where they will learn all about the Beaker people and make their own clay coil pot. Finally they will finish with the Iron Age, making a metal torc bracelet, getting to grips with Celtic jewellery and learning about its function as a status symbol.
What makes us a great choice for educational groups

Celtic Harmony Camp is now in its 25th year of offering WOW Prehistory day trips to schools. Often cited by teachers as their ‘favourite trip of the year’, schools come back year upon year to experience the magic of Celtic Harmony. The Art in Prehistory Day also offers pupils the chance to make their own souvenirs, leaving with 3 items to remind them of their day trip and what they have learned.
