Carter Residential Centre at Trinity College Bristol

Set in nine acres of stunning wooded grounds on the site of Trinity College, we provide a great location for groups who are looking for self-catering residential accommodation while exploring Bristol and the surrounding area.

The accommodation comprises 40 single rooms, 2 family rooms and 1 accessible twin room with ensuite wet room, sleeping a maximum of 48.

There are communal areas compromising of two lounges, dining and kitchen areas, allowing you to be fully self-sufficient. There is also a communal meeting area for staff/leader use if required, providing a space for leaders to meet and plan.

We have 40 equal sized single bedrooms on corridors of 5 or 6, sharing bathroom facilities, made up of two shower rooms and a WC.

The addition of a separate area with two larger family bedrooms and a single room, potentially for use by staff/leaders, provides independent space whilst maintaining a sense of community.

The communal areas also provide space to come together to eat or have social time at the end of a busy day being out and about around Bristol and the surrounding area. There are plenty of relaxing social spaces to enjoy.

The Carter Residential Centre is an ideal location to use as a base from which to explore the fabulous city of Bristol and the surrounding areas. Less than 300m from the Bristol Downs and a manageable walk or bus ride into the centre of town, with its superb dock area, museums, galleries, shops and restaurants, we are also well situated as a base for day trips to the Wye Valley, South Wales and a number of National Trust properties.

It is the perfect residence for groups of young people and leaders.

Evening use of extensive area of lawn to the front of the main Stoke House building, providing a great space for outdoor activities. The Centre is also in very close proximity to The Downs, which is a very large open space great for walking and team sports.

The accommodation can sleep 48 – 40 single rooms, 2 family rooms and 1 accessible room with en-suite wet room.

Photography, filming and audio recordings are authorized of members of your own group only and must not include staff, students and families of Trinity College without express consent.

We can provide a risk assessment based on the accommodation, but the grounds are used at the group’s own risk.

There are first aid supplies in both guest kitchens. The group will need to have a qualified first aider amongst their staff.

The accessible twin room is located on the first floor of the Carter Residential Centre and is accessed from the main college building.

A PEEP (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan) would need to be complete for any individual planning to stay.

Self-catering and bespoke catering packages are available. The packages include breakfast, packed lunches and the provision of a self-serve evening meal in the accommodation.

The Carter Residential Centre is available to be booked throughout the year, except from 24 December – 1 January.

Arrivals are from 2pm

Departures are by 10am on the day of departure.

The 40 singles are set in corridors spread over 3 floors, sharing bathroom facilities, made up of two shower rooms and a WC.

The 2 family rooms are in a separate section of the building with a shared bathroom, ideal as teacher/leader accommodation and the 1 twin room is an accessible room with en-suite wet room.

Each room includes a desk with lamp and plug sockets, and desk chair. There is also a wardrobe, wash basin and mirror in each room. Alongside free Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are also provided.
