Remembrance day 2026 Imperial War Museums
Mark Remembrance Day on 11th November with your students by exploring the personal stories, causes, and impacts of global conflicts. To support school trips, classroom assemblies, and history lessons, the Imperial War Museum (IWM) provides a comprehensive suite of free educational tools.
Teachers can access digital classroom activities, archive footage, photo galleries, and lesson plans directly through the Imperial War Museum Learning Resources. Whether planning an on-site visit to IWM branches or leading reflections in the classroom, these resources offer age-appropriate ways to help Key Stage 1 through Key Stage 5 students understand the significance of Armistice Day and modern commemoration.
