What is typically included on your school trips relating to Key Stage or Curriculum Topic information
Choose from a selection of showstopping Zip World Educational Programmes, made with teachers as well as pupils in mind. These National Curriculum-linked programmes include lesson plans, presentations, workbooks and a hosted Zip World visit, focusing primarily on Science (forces), Geography and Language. We offer curriculum tailored programmes for both KS2 and KS3, 5-10 years, 11-18 years and 18+ years.
Group Sizes
We can cater for groups of up to 40+ pupils and teachers. If the group is participating in an adventure, one adult is required to participate for each group of up to 7 children. This participating adult also goes free of charge. There is no minimum age for the adventure, but the pupils do have to be a certain weight and height.
Materials and resources provided
Available in either Welsh or English, these educational programmes will offer the chance to escape the classroom, learn whilst doing, and take the pressure of planning off the teacher. Fly through the programme, or take it at a slower pace, with multiple pre-planned lessons to complete before you visit Zip World and put it all to practice. We provide work sheets in both Welsh and English, tailored to the topic and curriculum depending on the pupil’s age. These are available to download from our website:
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
Pupils and teachers may take photos and videos, but we do restrict the use of personal cameras on the adventures. We suggest you use our souvenir video cameras that can be provided to each pupil and teacher.
Risk Assessment Details
We provide a full risk assessment and public liability insurance documents for teachers.

Pricing Information
Our pricing starts from £15 per pupil and every 7 pupils include a supervising adult that goes for free. Food packages are also available upon request. We offer a percentage discount depending on group sizes.
Clothing Requirements
We recommend that you wear long sleeves and something that covers your knees. We also recommend sensible and comfortable shoes that cover your toes. These sites are also based outside so you will need to wear warm clothing and optional elements in case the weather changes.
First Aid Information
Safety is our number one priority and so we always have a first aid team on site and conduct regular training.
Available Facilities
All site facilities are managed by Brockhole Visitor Centre and so the toilets and parking are located nearby. There is an outdoor picnic area where pupils can enjoy their lunch as adventure unfolds around them. We do also have a small gift shop to buy a souvenir of the day.
Accessibility & Disabled Facilities
We aim to offer our experiences to as many people as possible and so we do our best to tailor our adventures. These sites have accessible entrances and disabled toilets. Due to the nature of the adventures, please contact us beforehand to discuss various needs to accommodate for the adventure being participated in.
Opening Hours & Information
We are open Monday to Sunday, 7 days a week. Our times vary due to seasonality. This can all be verified once the tailoring begins for the programme.
