What we offer on a school trip
Whether it’s a school trip, youth group or sports team, a residential visit to YMCA Fairthorne Manor provides excellent opportunities for children and young people to learn. As well as supporting learning across many curriculum areas, a residential stay is particularly powerful in the social and emotional aspects of learning. Communication, collaboration, confidence, empathy, and self-esteem are key areas we deliver on, which support and enable learning in other areas.
What makes us a great choice for education
A wide range of activities is on offer at Fairthorne Manor, each one designed to encourage growth and development, emotionally and academically too. From high ropes to orienteering, at our outdoor activity centre you can tailor your activity choices to a particular subject area or try them all.

Testimonials
“We love coming to Fairthorne and are so glad we have been able to come again this year – especially after this industry has suffered through covid. The staff and catering were lovely and welcoming, and the leaders were all enthusiastic and encouraging. The food was also delicious, healthy, and filling with good options for the children”.
