What is typically included on your school trips relating to Key Stage

- For all groups, safety is our top priority. Every session begins with detailed safety instructions, including how to assess and understand the beach environment, tides, currents, and potential hazards. Students will learn how to recognize both beach and in-water dangers and how to respond to various situations, fostering responsible and confident behaviour in outdoor environments. Much of what we covered is in line with the RLSS beach lifeguard training so serves as a quality start to learning beach and sea safety.
- We can incorporate lessons about coastal geography, weather patterns, tides, and marine life. Students will explore how waves are formed, the role of the tide, and how we can protect our coastal environments. We can also build on their knowledge of physical geography by discussing more complex topics such as wave theory, erosion, and the impact of coastal processes on the environment. These lessons tie directly into geography and science curricula, helping to bring classroom learning to life.
- In addition to these topics, all students will have the opportunity to develop practical skills such as teamwork, communication, and resilience, as well as build self-confidence through surf coaching. These transferable skills link well to personal development and PSHE (Personal, Social, and Health Education) objectives.
- We are happy to discuss and adjust our approach to suit your group’s specific needs, ensuring that the content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with the curriculum.
Group sizes

- Minimum age 5.
- Small group ratios, never exceeding 6 students to 1 instructor to ensure everyone is safe and receives significant individual attention and tuition.
