What is typically included on our school trip residential experiences
Each visit is tailored to your children’s learning requirements by our experience educational team, meeting your specific objectives. We have a range of activities for you to choose from with the emphasis on hands on, creative, and interactive learning.
Onsite we have an archery range, low ropes course, outdoor kitchen, Tudor herb garden, Ancient Settlement with round house, Tudor Manor house, Viking longship, Tithe Barn and much more.
Visits are based in our Tudor Manor House or Woodland adventure cabins and extensive grounds. Arrival is at 10am and departure at 1pm and includes a banquet or feast.

Group Sizes
Residential visits 20 to 110 children in total, across two residential buildings
Our sites can also be booked individually, for exclusive use.
The Manor House sleeps 40 – 67 children for History or Outdoor learning topics.
The Woodland Cabins sleep 20 – 36 children for Outdoor learning topics.

We also recommend a pre-visit to site, where a member of our team will show the visiting school where they will be based, what the activities involve and answer questions.
- We have Designated Safeguarding Leads.
- All Ufton academic and non-academic staff hold enhanced DBS certification.
- We have food hygiene and allergy awareness – Ufton holds a level 5 food safety rating.
- We have First Aid training – All Ufton teaching staff hold paediatric first aid certificates.
- We have 20 acres of safe, private woodland.
- We have electronic site gates with access monitored by the office team.
Pricing
Our pricing is per child depending on the time of year.
Accommodation, catering, banquets/fiesta nights and most activities led by our experienced team are all included in the price.
Adults are included on a 1:8 ratio.

First Aid
All our staff are first aid trained, with members of our education team completing pediatric first aid training. Our team are available to support groups with first aid if required.

We have an off-road wheelchair available to groups and a fully adapted, residential cabin with full room heist and hospital beds.

Opening Times
We are open during term time only, Monday to Friday. Depending on your visit, arrival and departure times vary between 10am and 1pm.

Residential School Trips to Ufton provide a unique experience and will provide your children with memories that will last a lifetime. You will stay in either our Manor House or our Woodland Cabins. The emphasis is on hands on, creative, and interactive learning.
Location Information
Our 40-acre site in Berkshire is close to both Newbury and Reading.
Ufton is roughly equidistant from junctions 11 and 12 of the M4 and is less than 30 minutes from junction 6 of the M3. We have ample parking for minibuses and coaches.

Manor House – sleeping 40 – 67 children.
- Grade 1 listed, Tudor Manor house, complete with Priest Holes!
- Excusive hire of the whole house and surrounding grounds
- 7 children’s rooms and 4 adult bedrooms across three wings and three floors of the manor house
- Each room will sleep between 5 and 16 children in either bunkbeds or single beds
- On suite or designated bathrooms
- Use of three large, ground floor reception rooms
- Two dinning rooms and private staff area
- Wi-Fi available
- 24-7 onsite support from first aid trained staff
Woodland Cabins – 20 – 36 children
- Excusive hire 7 woodland cabins and surrounding outdoor space, field and surrounding woodland.
- 4 children’s cabins sleeping up to 10 children in bunkbeds.
- 1 adult cabin with two bedrooms and shared bathroom. Sleeping 6 adults
- Each cabin has is own on suite bathroom and shower facilities.
- Additional shower and toilet cabin available
- Use of a catering cabin which includes dining room, full catering kitchen with fridge, freezer, and hot cupboards.
- Outdoor dining space, pizza oven and fire pit.
