What we offer on a school trip
Tile Barn Outdoor Centre offers residential and day activity opportunities for school groups, uniform groups, youth groups and other community groups.
Located in the beautiful New Forest National Park – Tile Barn Outdoor Centre specializes in offering groups cost-effective breaks in stunning surroundings. You can choose to stay in comfort in our bunkhouse or try something new in our Enda Ryan Poppy Pods. We also welcome up to 250 campers in the summer months staying in our pre-erected camping villages.
Our 14-acre site is great for those looking to stay with us and deliver some of their own activities on-site as well as walking the many trails nearby. We do also deliver a range of adventurous activities on-site, led by our friendly and experienced instructors – such as climbing, archery, mountain biking, high ropes, low ropes, bushcraft skills and more.
We offer flexibility in our programmes to work within all budgets. There are options to lead your own activities and self-cater to help keep costs down. Equally, we also offer our more inclusive packages with full catering and all activities delivered by our staff.
What makes us a great choice for education
As part of a wider service with four centres, called Hampshire Outdoor Centres, we have been delivering our outdoor educational programmes for a long time and know what it takes to make a good residential a GREAT residential. We focus on delivering high quality outdoor activities and our staff are trained and monitored not only on their ability to deliver safe sessions, but also on their ability to fully embed your learning objectives into every session.
We will work closely with you to understand the aims for your visit and ensure that your programme addresses these. Our team are regularly praised for their ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude and flexibility when it comes to creating your perfect programme.
Accreditation and Awards
We are monitored and assessed by various outdoor industry bodies to ensure we deliver safe and educational activities. These include:
