What we offer on a school trip
Our inspiring residential trips are carefully crafted to include learning, fun, team building and hands-on activities in the outdoors with an eco-theme. They are fully catered with delicious food from our on-site cafe. We have a resident lodge warden and secure overnight alarm system. Our grounds are extensive and include 55 acres of woodland, grassland and ponds so there is plenty of opportunity for outdoor learning. This can be taken advantage of in free time and evenings as well, schools can choose from our own activities of storytelling, night sky, crafts, team building or opt for a self-led campfire. We are only 20 minutes from Petersfield station in Hampshire and just 10 minutes off the A3.

There is a small shop where recycled pencils, small gifts and postcards can be purchased, a visit to the shop needs to be booked in advance.

Wheelchair accessible bedrooms, toilet and shower are available in the Lodge and we recommend making a pre–visit to ensure that these will meet your needs.

Testimonials
“All very positive. They felt cared for and safe – the centre staff were outstanding!”
Head Teacher, Kate Heffer, St. Mary’s Primary School of Bentworth.
“The learning experience began the moment we arrived at the hostel and all of the planned offsite visits were of high quality and generally tailored to fit the school’s curriculum. Overall this was an excellent residential where unique opportunities were provided. There was only positive feedback from the parents,”
Acting Head Teacher, Joanne Barton, St. Patricks Catholic Primary School.
“Each day proved to be very different. The structure of the week certainly catered for the wide range of interests that Primary age children have. I can’t praise Janet and her team highly enough for their care and attention to detail.”
Head Teacher, Richard Catchpole, Rowledge Primary School.
“The whole site of 50+ acres is a dream of a natural environment that enables groups to take time to look at and to consider the effect of their actions on the environment.”
Hampshire County Council, Monitoring Report 2018.
