Medieval Workshops

Medieval Workshops provide educational groups with historically engaging school trip experiences that are focused on the Middle Ages. Lasting approximately from the 5th to the 15th century, the Middle Ages is a large period of historical study. From the various Viking raids and the very first Crusade, to the Norman conquest of England and the Magna Carta, the Middle Ages is an era of study that is jam-packed with legendary historical events.

We have a wide selection of Medieval Workshops listed here on UK School Trips. If your class is currently studying Medieval Vikings, the JORVIK Viking Centre has got you covered. JORVIK delivers virtual workshop experiences that can be easily accessed online. Students will have the chance to meet a Viking, chat with an archaeologist, see artefacts from York’s Viking excavations, and even spend time with a medieval barber-surgeon. But Vikings are not the only historical topic Medieval Workshops concentrate on. Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre also provides school groups with workshop experiences that have a Medieval focus. At Bosworth, students will have the chance to explore the history of Medieval battles. Whether you want your class to learn about the Medieval soldier or would prefer to take them on a Battlefield Trail, Bosworth has a wide variety of workshop activities that are historically engaging while also being linked to the National Curriculum.

If Medieval Workshops sound like something your class would benefit from, take a look at the workshop providers listed below to find more information.
