What we offer on a school trip
Welcome to DNA VR - the ultimate virtual reality arcade experience! Step into our world and leave the real one behind, as we take you on a journey through the wildest, wackiest and most wonderful realms your imagination can conjure up.
Whether you're flying solo or bringing your entire crew along for the ride, we've got over 40 different games for you to choose from. Want to test your shooting skills? No problem. Ready to show off your culinary chops? We've got just the game for you. And if music's your thing, don't worry - we've got you covered there too.
But wait, there's more! If you're in the mood for something a little more challenging, why not try our VR Escape Room? You and your team will need to put your heads together to solve puzzles and escape from virtual rooms before time runs out. Or, if you're feeling really brave, you can take on our Ubisoft Escape Room - where you'll enter the worlds of Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia and face puzzles put together by the masterminds at Ubisoft.
And for the ultimate VR experience, step into our Premium Free Roaming area, where you can physically walk around and explore virtual worlds. Test your survival skills in our shooting games, or put your brain to the test in one of our seven unique escape rooms.
So, what are you waiting for? Strap on your headset and get ready to dive into the adventure of a lifetime at DNA VR!
What makes us a great choice for education
We are London’s first Virtual Reality Arcade, and pride ourselves on our Excellent Customer Service. You will always have a VR Master on hand who will guide your journey through the virtual world, so whether you're brand new to gaming in general, or an expert wanting to flex their skills, someone will be with you on that ride.
What is typically included on our school trips
We have 4 primary experiences, which will begin after one of our VR Masters has gone over a Health and Safety brief, and made sure that everyone is aware of how to play.
Our 4 primary Experiences:
VR Arcade - Play by yourself, or in a team of up to 9 people in over 40 different games ranging from shooting experiences, cooking games and music games. This is a 1 hour Experience
VR Escape Room - Work together in a team from 2-6 solving puzzles in the Virtual world. This is a 1 hour Experience
Ubisoft Escape Room - Team up in a group of 2 or a group of 4 as you enter the world of Assassins Creed or Prince of Persia as you solve puzzles put together by the Ubisoft team. This is a 1 hour Experience
Premium Free Roaming - Physically walk around a much larger space in the Virtual world, either shooting to survive, or putting your brains to the test in 7 unique Escape Rooms in groups of 2-4. This is a 40 minute Experience
These sessions can be played back-to-back, or you can book our Full Venue exclusive booking which allows access to both the Premium Free Roaming as well as our Arcade session.
Group Sizes Catered For
We have a total of 13 headseats (9 for the Arcade/Escape Room/Ubisoft Escape Room and 4 for the Premium Free Roaming)
Although there are a limited number of headsets, you can still bring a larger group of friends!
If your group exceeds the maximum number of headsets, our experienced VR Masters will be on hand to assist with swapping members of your group in and out of the headsets so everyone gets a fair turn within the session.
We have a reception area at each venue where those who are not playing can rest and watch the others via the TV screens while they are waiting, so everyone is still involved.
For less than 10 players, 1 hour is usually enough but if you are going to be sharing headsets, 2 hours is better so everyone gets a fair chance to play!
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
Groups are absolutely fine to record the session, and we can also help by recording parts of the session from their perspective in the VR, available on special request.
Education Officer Information
You can contact us via email at info@dnavr.co.uk and a member of the Operations Team will be able to assist with any enquiry.
Pricing Information
All tickets are sold per headset, and if you go above the maximum number of headsets additional players will be charged a reduced rate.
Pricing can depend heavily depending on the day/experience and we would recommend checking out our Pricing Calculator on our website https://www.dnavr.co.uk/london/prices/ but our prices do start from £29 per headset
Clothing Requirements
We advise wearing comfortable clothing and footwear, as you will be standing and moving for the full hour. We would also advise against makeup if possible as the headset will be pressed against your face.
First Aid Information
We will have a first aid station, and a first aid trained staff member on site.
Available Facilities
We have a toilet at each of our venues, and sell soft drinks.
If you would be interested in eating food within our venue please contact us at info@dnavr.co.uk for more details as this is not always available with every session.
Accessibility & Disabled Facilities
We do not have a qualified SEN member of staff.
NO
We have worked with many customers who have disabilities and our staff are always happy to provide extra help whenever possible.
Amputee We do have a variety of experiences that can still be played with use of only one hand. Unfortunately, our Ubisoft Escape Rooms require the use of both controllers. But our standard VR Escape Rooms, our Premium Free Roam experiences and our VR Arcade are all flexible to accommodate just one!
Autism We frequently cater to players with autism. All of our VR experiences are supervised by a member of staff who can provide assistance throughout the session. We can also reduce the volume of the headset to make them more comfortable if needed, and allow them to have a break if requested at any point.
Colourblind Most of our games don’t heavily rely on colour, but some do. Ask our VR Masters at the venue and they can recommend what games you should avoid!
Crutches While our VR experiences are usually desgined to be played standing up, we can get a swivel chair in the booth for you if needed! If you need a break at any point in your session, one of our VR Masters will be on hand to help.
Deaf Our headsets can be worn over hearing aids. As far as we are aware, our headsets work the same with cochlear implants as PC gaming with headphones. We use HTC VIVE Pros, which have a central velcro strap that adjusts over the top of the head from forehead to crown and another section at the back that uses foam padding. Built-in headphones clip down on either side. Please see the attached picture for reference.
We can try to make this as comfortable as possible to accommodate the magnet placement of the CI, but both the top strap and the back section must be relatively tight to secure the headset.
Unfortunately very few VR games have subtitles. Our VR Escape Rooms do not rely on hearing players, and in the VR Arcade we have a couple of games which include subtitles - we would need to explain the controls and do a safety briefing before players are set up in the headsets.
Epilepsy We recommend you consult with your own neurologist as they may be able to give you information that is specific to you.
Photosensitive epilepsy affects up to 3% of people with epilepsy. (This is where seizures are triggered by certain rates of flashing images or light.) For most people, rhythmic flashing lights are unlikely to trigger seizures. With VR the images flash very quickly and generally this is too quickly to trigger a seizure in people with photosensitive epilepsy. However, the field of view is large and so more of the eye is stimulated. This means that more of the brain may be affected and this may trigger a photosensitive seizure.
Limited Hand/Arm control We can discuss any player’s motor function limitations and help them to adjust their grip on the controller in whatever way gives them best access to the buttons. We do recommend they with consult their doctor before visiting us if they have pre-existing conditions that affect their ability to safely perform physical activities. We have worked with many customers who have disabilities and our staff are always happy to provide extra help whenever possible.
Pregnant Of course it is best to consult with your doctor beforehand if you have concerns, however as far as we are aware there are no official restrictions that stop people from playing VR while pregnant, so you should be fine! You will be standing and moving around quite a lot for an hour, so this is the only factor that you need to consider. We will be happy to try and be as accommodating as possible if you need breaks etc. We can also get a swivel chair in the booth for you in case needed!
Wheelchair We have wheelchair access at our Battersea venue only. Unfortunately our other venues are not wheelchair accessible - Hammersmith and Camden can be entered via stairs only.
There are plenty of games and experiences that would be accessible, please bear in mind that some games require full 360° movement so may not be suitable. Our VR Masters will be on hand to advise with this! The optimal VR experience requires users to be able to move their head and neck, and have use of at least one hand to interact with the environment.
Please note that we do not recommend the Premium Free Roam experience for wheelchair users.
Visually Impaired Our headsets are able to be worn over glasses, and can be adjusted if necessary.
VR is not recommend for people with extreme visual impairments.

Other Information
We believe VR is suitable for all ages! However, in interest of safety, DNA VR is restricted to only players above 7 years old. This is due to the size and weight of the headset and the fact that some younger children may find VR overwhelming. The minimum ages for each experience are as follows:
VR Arcade: 7+
Premium Free Roaming: 12+
VR Escape Rooms: 10+ (7+ if accompanied by an adult)
Ubisoft's VR Escape rooms: 12+ (10+ if accompanied by an adult)
