What makes us a great choice for education?

Sandown Sports & Ski is a great centre to come to as we have so many activities all on the same site! After a day spent at Sandown, you can say you have learnt how to ski, spun down a ski slope on a Ringo, soaked your opposition team in Water Wars, learnt how to score a point in squash, enjoyed a great fitness session and swung through the trees on Skywalk Adventure. 

With all these activities in one place, we can accommodate large groups rotating around the site, so everyone experiences every activity throughout the course of the day. Teamwork and leadership skills, balance and coordination skills, trust exercises and self-confidence are just some of the areas your students will benefit from and develop.

With the Terrace Bar on-site offering amazing stone-baked pizza, paninis and sweet snacks too, we can make sure you leave the site feeling full and satisfied!  

What is typically included on our school trips?

If you have any specific goals or targets you would like to meet whilst on your visit to us, please let us know when you book so we can tailor your visit to meet these expectations. 

Group Sizes Catered For

The minimum group size is 8, and if you combine all activities, we can take up to 100 children! 

Materials, Resources & Information Provided

For all activities, any equipment needed is provided from the centre, apart from specific clothing requirements such as gloves. 

Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions

You are more than welcome to take photos and videos of the activities, as long as no other people on site are in the photos and videos. 

Risk Assessment Details

After making a booking, full site risk assessments are sent out as part of your booking confirmation. You are also more than welcome to site visit before your booking to carry out your own risk assessments if you wish.

Pricing Information

Costs of the activities here at Sandown will vary depending on how many activities you book, how many people you bring, and if you require food. Please enquire with the centre so we can cater a package to you.

Clothing Requirements

For skiing and Ringo activities, children will need to make sure skin is covered from the neck down, so long sleeves, trousers, gloves and trainers. 

For Skywalk and gym activities, we recommend comfortable clothing that will not prevent a harness fitting correctly. 

During Water Wars activity you can get quite wet, so we recommend to bring a towel and change of clothing just in case. 

First Aid Information

All duty managers on site are fully first aid trained. Groups will not need to bring their own first aider or first aid equipment.

Available Facilities

Café and Bar area with drinks and a limited selection of food.

There are also picnic areas with shelter should you wish to bring your own packed lunches.

We can provide packed lunches or pizza at request, but this must be booked in advance. 

Disabled toilets.

Changing rooms available. 

Accessibility & Disabled Facilities

We have disabled toilet facilities and the main clubhouse building is wheelchair accessible.
