Schools come to us for the expertly delivered sessions set in a unique and vibrant gallery setting. All of our sessions and our galleries are interactive and are carefully designed to encourage maximum participation from pupils of all ages.

What is typically included on our school trips?

We offer facilitated workshops and self-guided visits to our recently refurbished supported by gallery trails.

For primary schools we offer a range of cross-curricular workshops with a strong STEM and history focus.  Our workshops include:

Group Sizes Catered For

Typical class size of 30-35 children.  We can book several classes per day, please contact us to discuss how we can accommodate large school groups.

Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions

Groups are permitted to take photographs for use as part of their learning.

Pricing Information

Entry to our permanent galleries is free of charge.

School workshops are free of charge.  However, we occasionally offer workshops and performances by third parties and there might be a charge in this case, this will be stated on the listing.

First Aid Information

We have first-aid trained staff although we are happy for schools to bring their own kits should their risk assessments require them to do so.

Available Facilities

We have a café, toilets and changing areas. All our floors are easily accessible via lifts and we have accessible toilet facilities.

There is a museum shop and we have a range of gifts at pocket money prices e.g. pencils, erasers, badges etc.

We have a lunch room on-site for children to eat their packed lunches – this must be booked in advance due to high demand.
