What we offer on a school trip
We are really excited to welcome schools to RSPB Scotland Loch Leven! Loch Leven is an internationally important wildlife haven year-round and is accessible to most. Our outdoor learning activities are curriculum-linked, RSPB staff-led and give learners the opportunity to connect with their natural environment. Here at RSPB Loch Leven we offer a range of outdoor learning activities linked to the Curriculum for Excellence for schools. Children can learn in nature while taking in part in engaging practical activities such as mini-beast hunting, pond dipping and bird discovery.
What makes us a great choice for educational groups
We are proud to have been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge. Which means you can count on your class having meaningful learning experiences as well as a great time in the outdoors. Additionally, our school programmes count as one step towards our Wild Challenge Awards! This also forms part of the Nature Awards pathway, which links together Wild Challenge, the John Muir Award, Duke of Edinburgh and more. Taking part in the Wild Challenge is a great way to consolidate pupil’s learning from our school programmes and link to further in-school learning.
Accreditation and Awards
We have the LOtC Quality Badge.
